Do your kitchen doors come pre drilled?

Kitchen Doors

All our kitchen units are now supplied with doors and drawer fronts that are ready drilled and attached to the units, at no extra cost.

If you order separate doors then these are supplied un-drilled. We don’t pre-drill for carcases that aren’t ours, as the hinge holes may not marry up with the carcase that you already have.

If needed, you can purchase hinges from us by clicking the “click to search by product code” link at the top of our main website and enter “softclosehinge”. They are £3 per pair.

Do you doors come pre drilled for handles?

Our doors come attached to the units but there are no drill holes in the doors for handles, as this will be the last thing the kitchen fitter does, to ensure that all the handles line up.

No door would come pre-drilled for handles, as all handle hole centres differ.

If I buy a sink, do you cut the worktop for the sink?

Hi, solid surface worktops like granite, quartz & Dekton are templated based on your requirements and cut to size and fitted by our installation partner. Laminate & wooden worktops are fitted and cut onsite by your kitchen fitter.

Hi, when we supply our units, doors are attached but handles are something that your kitchen fitter would do on site. We do not pre drill door for handles i’m afraid, as there are many different types of handles with different hole positions.

Hi, doors are drilled and attached to units but doors that are ordered separately are not drilled.

Hi, in addition to a full kitchen, I will be ordering some doors on their own to fit to a couple of pre-existing built-in cupboards. Would these doors come drilled and with hinges? I think this article is out of date (discussing door fitting surcharges) so couldn’t find out a definitive answer. Thanks, Jo.

Hi Jo, apologies, I have amended the article above. If you order separate doors then these are supplied undrilled.

Hi Sana, you can order extra drawer fronts on there own but our units (if you choose drawerline) will come with a drawer and drawer front. There is no option to remove these.

If I was to choose non-pre-drilled doors what are the steps to fit? Ie how many holes need to be drilled, is there a template supplied etc?

Also, are the hinge positions of the doors in a ‘standard’ position, so that say a door bought from elsewhere (B&Q as an example) would fit?

Hi, hinge holes for doors purchased undrilled will require a centre point 100mm from the top and 100mm from the bottom, and 30mm in from the edge. Other holes may be re required for doors above 960mm high i.e. larder unit doors. You will require a hinge jig to drill the doors (we hire them out on our website). Drilling your own doors is at the discretion of the purchaser and is the responsibility of the customer to match up the hinge positions with other suppliers carcases, which may well be different from DIY Kitchens. Templates are not supplied.
