How does your pullout ironing board work?

Pull out ironing board PIB4Our pullout ironing board unit is very handy indeed and a real space saver, as you can do away with your existing ironing board that probably takes up loads of space in your existing utility room!

The pullout ironing board kitchen base unit measures 400mm wide and is a great addition to any kitchen/utility room where you want to keep the rooms uncluttered. With the pullout ironing board unit, the cupboard below is still usable, as the ironing board only goes in the section at the top where the drawer front is.

Once the ironing board is pulled out from the 139mm high drawer front, it then folds fully open to give a workable ironing space of 950mm long by 300mm wide, see the image below to visualise this.

As the drawer pops back in when you have finished with the ironing board, nobody will ever be able to see the difference and your drawer will then line up with any adjacent drawers too.

If table space is a little tight then when not go for a similar unit as well in the form of a 600mm pull out table shown here. Ideal for the kids to sit have and have their dinner, whist you get to sit at the ‘big table’ and relax for a whileJ

Can you use the pull out ironing board on an inframe kitchen like Helmsley? Thanks!

Hi Suzy, unfortunately, we cannot supply the ironing board in the inframe ranges, as the frame obstructs the mechanism from pulling out. Apologies for any inconvenience.

If you were using the 500 drawerline open base unit, could you use a false drawer front like the other pull out cupboards, seeing as the rest of the unit is open? Thanks!

Hi Suzy, the open drawerline units will already be fitted with a drawer in the unit, so you would not need to use an extra drawer front on this unit.

If you are meaning for the unit to be supplied with a false drawer with no drawer box in there, this is not something we would supply as standard, although you are able to order the drawer fronts separately, which you are able to fit to the unit onsite.
