Steam clean the microwave

If you fail to clean your microwave for a few weeks then you may notice the remnants of last weeks beans have welded themselves to the roof of your microwave. This may look like it’s going to take a lot of elbow grease and hard work to get it clean but you would be wrong. Simply:

  • Steam Clean MicrowaveGet a microwavable bowl and place a few cups of water in it.
  • Place the bowl in the microwave and heat on high for about 4-5 minutes.
  • When the microwave goes ding, let the water cool down for a few minutes then pour it away down the sink.
  • Any crusty remnants in your microwave can now be easily wiped up with a cloth.

If your more hygienic like me then you’ll probably want to use some absorbent kitchen towel so that you can through it away after. There is nothing more disgusting than a dirty kitchen cloth covered in gunk waiting to be used again on clean kitchen worktops!

Whilst the microwave is boiling the water for 5 minutes, make yourself useful and clean the hob down whilst you wait:-) It make take a little more than 5 minutes but hey, who’s counting.Expert tip – Rather than throw the hot water away from the microwave, use it in a mop bucket with a little bleach and mop the kitchen floor at the same time!

Who thought that cleaning could be this much fun:-)
