From time to time we get asked the question, “Do you do, or plan to do walk in corner larder units like the ones on other websites as I can’t find them on your site?”
The simple answer is yes, and they are available in most of our kitchen ranges.
1970mm high walk in larder units
2150mm high walk in larder units
The size of the Walk In Corner Larder unit is set at 1144mm x 1144mm and it comes with the wooden internals, which include shelves and tall wine rack/spice rack insert.
The image below shows one of our customers’ Norton Cobham Blue, walk-in corner larder units.
As you can see from the image above, a Walk In Corner Larder unit from the outside looks like any other tall unit, but, as soon as you open the doors you start to see that it really is something else!
On the inside you get an abundance of space that will hold all your tins, packets & cereals etc. as well as a tall wine rack that can hold up to 14 bottles of wine! If you don’t think you can fill them all with wine, then you can always fill them with take away menus and cans of fizzy pop:-)
As the walk in Larder units are pretty big, you’ll ideally want some lighting in there so that you can see what you are looking for.
Tall inframe corner units
There is a work around the achieve a tall walk in larder unit with our Helmsley & Harewood inframe styles. We would supply the carcase on its own then the combination doors to go with it. Combination doors are where the frame is attached to the door, rather than the unit.
You would need to add the tall larder unit to your shopping cart in the Norton range, then add a note to the unit, requesting the combination doors for Helmsley/Harewood. Then you need to create a support ticket with your shopping cart ID and our support team will amend your cart and add what is required.

May 26, 2021 at 6:50 pmHi, when you put the tall corner larder in the corner of your kitchen, it will come out 1144mm from both walls. The depth of the unit is 560mm, so any adjacent units will line up perfectly. If you need anymore advise on this then our sales team will be able to help on 01977 608 418.

November 8, 2018 at 11:57 pmHi Jo, you are able to reconfigure the shelves etc, as the unit comes dry assembled however, we wouldn’t recommend removing the wine rack, as this is what the shelves attach to and also is the main stability to the unit.
November 9, 2018 at 11:40 amHow about the norton with the Helmsley. I believe that is solid wood too but does it not have the grains? I think the fact that it won’t have the infraje part won’t be too bad given it is a angled full length door so will look slightly different anyway.

I appreciate that this is an inframe door so is not currently available for this unit but I wondered whether there is a non inframe door that would match the style and colour which we could use as I’m keen on the inframe as a design but really want a larder. If I got the larder in Norton is the door material the same (painted solid wood) and do you know if anyone else has done this?

Hi, what size and type of larder are you wanting, as we do have larders available in inframe, so this would just depend on the size you require.

Hi Jonathan, Welton is a smooth painted MDF inframe effect door (no wood grain). The Helmsley is a real wood door (wood grain shows) and is a true inframe door. You would be able to see that the 2 doors were not the same, if observed side by side.

I’ve been looking at this corner unit…

We’re short on space on the wall where it would go, so could you confirm the dimensions of this, as those stated on the site don’t appear to be correct.
Also, we’re looking at the Luca range and plan to use curved doors around the corners. I don’t suppose that there’s any way that this unit could be supplied with a curved door instead? – it’d make my wife very happy if it could!
