The kitchen unit legs are comprised of 2 pieces. The leg and the base that the leg slots into. The leg is pretty simple to remove and can be done by grabbing hold of the stem of the leg and turning it clockwise.
The sockets for the base are not designed for removal, they are positioned into 4 drilled holes and glued into position for maximum stability.
Attempting to remove the leg socket will damage the base of the cabinet. If you do try an alternative method off removal, be cautious but don’t attempt to pull them out, otherwise you will have a damaged unit.
The height of our kitchen units with legs is 870mm by default. The legs on our kitchen units will adjust down to 140mm by turning what looks like the elephant’s foot piece at the bottom of the stem, anti clockwise.
The best solution
If you need to get your kitchen unit lower, for whatever reason, then if you take the leg off then your unit will be 720mm + 25mm leg base = 745mm from the ground.
So, in answer to the question, any attempt to remove the base socket of the leg, will end up damaging the unit, so removal is not recommended!
