Quooker boiling water taps

Quooker boiling water taps

You may have seen some stylish looking Quooker boiling water taps and wondered why they cost more than traditional mixer taps. Well, these aren’t just any kind of tap, these taps can give you instant boiling water, without ever having to boil a kettle again! And Quooker taps can even give you filtered & sparkling cold water in seconds, and all from just the one tap!

The initial cost outlay of this convenient tap may be higher than a normal mixer tap but it will really speed up everything you do in your kitchen, and once you’ve had a Quooker tap fitted, you’ll wonder why you never did it sooner!

The boiling water when it comes out of a Quooker tap, is 100°C (boiling point), so it’s just perfect for:

With instant boiling water, you can use just the right amount, every time, resulting is no more wasted boiled water and cheaper energy bills.

How is the boiling water generated?

The boiling water that comes out of your Quooker tap, is generated by the Pro3 tank that is situated neatly in the sink unit below it (on the right of the image above).

The Pro3 tank can dispense up to 3 litres of boiling water at 100°C, instantly! Best of all, the Pro3 tank will use just 3p per day on standby and 1p per litre of boiling water that is dispensed. Much cheaper than boiling a kettle!

The Quooker PRO 3 tank measures 47cm in height and 15cm in diameter.

Safety features

Having a tap that is ready to dispense 3 litres of boiling water on demand, may sound a little concerning, especially if you have little children who like to make themselves a drink. But you need not worry because there are 3 key safety features, that make the Quooker boiling water taps, incredibly safe!

Quooker have a patented double push and turn mechanism, inspired by the child safe medicine bottles, to ensure that wandering hands can’t dispense the water without first having to double push and turn the bezel.

When the water leaves the tap, it is done so in an aerated stream. This means that if your hand was to touch the water coming out of the tap then this would not result in a burn, as your hand passes through it.

The 3rd safety feature is the double insulated spout. With a traditional tap, if hot water was coming out of the tap, then the spout would be very hot to the touch, but not with Quooker. The double insulated spout on Quooker taps, ensures that the spout will always be cool to the touch.

Cube

The Cube is Quooker’s latest offering and adds chilled filtered and chilled sparkling water to any Quooker tap, exactly when you needed it! The Cube sits conveniently underneath the sink, right next to your existing Pro3 boiling water tank (see diagram above).

If you’ve ever tasted filtered water then you’ll know just how good it tastes and to have this ‘on tap’, is a luxury that you can have every day.

The sparkling water is created by means of a CO2 cylinder that attaches to the side of the Cube. 1 cylinder can create 60 litres of sparking water and the cylinders can be refilled or recycled after use. The main benefit of a Cube is never having to buy another plastic bottle of water again. Which is good for your fridge, your pocket and the environment!

The CUBE measures 50 cm in height, 15.3cm in width and 27cm in depth.
