When using a pan drawer unit to house your sink you will need to take into account the height of the sink that you are looking to use. We have 2 and 3 drawer sink base units and depending on the unit you choose will determine the height of sink that the unit can accommodate. This article will give you information on internal unit heights, allowing you to purchase the correct sink.
2 pan drawer sink base units
With the 2 pan drawer sink base units, the available height within the unit is 160mm, We do usually advise for this unit to be used with inset sinks, as opposed to the undermount sinks.
When using an inset sink, you would have the thickness of your worktop, as well as the internal height space of the unit, i.e. 160mm + 40mm worktop. With the worktop thickness, you would be able to use a sink with a height of up to 200mm.
3 pan drawer sink base units
With the 3 pan drawer sink units, the height available within the unit is 235mm. This unit could be used with either an inset or an under mount sink, depending on the height of the sink. i.e. undermount sink heights could be anything up to 235mm.
Inset sinks as above, have the internal height and the worktop height, i.e. 235mm + 40mm worktop. This will allow you to use a sink, which is up to 275mm in height.
